COCHLEAR LIMITED ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF BRENT CUBIS AS CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Cochlear Limited (ASX: COH) today announces the appointment of Brent Cubis as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). His appointment follows Cochlear’s announcement in September 2016 that long-serving CFO, Neville Mitchell, had decided to retire. Mr Cubis will join Cochlear on 13 March 2017.

Mr Cubis is a Chartered Accountant and has worked in various CFO and senior finance roles in a number of leading Australian companies across a broad range of industries including PBL Media (Nine Network and ACP Magazines), Bankers Trust, Westfield and Sheraton Hotels. For the last eight years he has worked in the health sector, most recently as CFO for the National Home Doctor Service. Prior to this he was the finance director for Fitness First and CFO at the Sydney cancer centre Chris O’Brien Lifehouse. Brent lives in Sydney with his family and over the last ten years has run marathons around the world to raise funds for Cancer Research, a cause that he is passionate about.
