'नीट' के अखिल भारतीय कोटे में आरक्षण पर सूप्रीम कोर्ट ने जारी किया नोटिस

मेडिकल पाठ्यक्रमों में प्रवेश की नीट परीक्षा में अखिल भारतीय कोटा वर्ग में अन्य पिछडे वर्गों (ओबीसी) को 27 फीसद और आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर वर्गों (ईडब्लुएस) को दस फीसद आरक्षण देने के केंद्र सरकार के फैसले को चुनौती देने वाली एक याचिका पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने सोमवार को नोटिस जारी कर दिया। न्यायमूर्ति धनंजय यशवंत चंद्रचूड़, न्यायमूर्ति विक्रमनाथ और न्यायमूर्ति हिमा कोहली की एक पीठ ने कुछ डाक्टरों की तरफ से दायर याचिका पर यह कदम उठाया।

याचिका में मेडिकल काउंसिलिंग समिति की 29 जुलाई 2021 की अधिसूचना को रद्द करने की फरियाद की गई है। अधिसूचना में सरकार की नई आरक्षण नीति को लागू करने की बात कही गई है। याचिका में 29 जुलाई की इस अधिसूचना को लागू करने पर रोक लगाने और

मौजूदा आरक्षण नीति के संबंध में रूपरेखा के परीक्षण के लिए विशेषज्ञों की एक समिति गठित करने का निर्देश देने की भी फरियाद की गई है। केंद्र ने 29 जुलाई को तय किया था कि मेडिकल व डेंटल पाठयक्रमों में ओबीसी को 27 फीसद और ईडब्लएस को 10 फीसद आरक्षण अखिल भारतीय कोटा योजना के तहत दिया जाएगा। याचिकाकर्ताओं की तरफ से वरिष्ठ

वकील अरविंद दातार ने दलील दी कि केंद्र सरकार की नीति मद्रास हाईकोर्ट के आदेश के विपरीत है। इसमें सवाल उठता है कि क्या ईडब्लुएस श्रेणी को देखते समय कसौटी आठ लाख रुपए सालाना आय होनी चाहिए। दूसरा सवाल यह है कि आरक्षण होरिजेंटल होना चाहिए या वर्टिकल।

याचिका के मताबिक ऑल इंडिया कोटे की सीटों में स्नातक में 15 और पोस्ट ग्रेजुएट मेडिकल पाठयक्रमों में 50 फीसद आरक्षण डाक्टरों को संविधान में प्रदत्त मौलिक अधिकारों से गैर काननी रूप से वंचित करेगा। समानता के सिद्धांत के आधार पर आरक्षण की अधिकतम सीमा 50 फीसद तय की गई थी। ईडब्लएस कोटे का मुद्दा सुप्रीम कोर्ट की पांच जजों की संविधान पीठ के समक्ष सुनवाई के लिए विचाराधीन है। मद्रास हाईकोर्ट ने पिछले दिनों व्यवस्था दी थी कि नीट के अखिल भारतीय कोटे में ईडब्लूएस आरक्षण को सुप्रीम कोर्ट की मंजूरी के बाद ही लागू किया जा सकता है।

प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ईडी) ने महाराष्ट के पर्व गह मंत्री अनिल देशमख के खिलाफ धनशोधन, रिश्वतखोरी और अन्य आरोपों में दर्ज मामले में अपनी जांच का दायरा बढा दिया है तथा वह उनसे जुडे कुछ और लोगों से जल्द पृछताछ करेगा।

ईडी द्वारा की जा रही जांच 100 करोड़ रुपए के कथित रिश्वत एवं वसली रैकेट से संबंधित है, जिसकी वजह से देशमुख को अप्रैल में मंत्री पद से इस्तीफा देना पडा था। एजंसी ने सोमवार को यहां एक उप क्षेत्रीय परिवहन अधिकारी से पूछताछ की तथा विभिन्न सरकारी विभागों एवं राष्ट्रवादी कांग्रेस पार्टी (राकांपा) के नेता से जुड़े निजी लोगों को जल्द ही समन भेजा जा सकता है।

Remote E-Voting

• 1. Members holding shares either In physical form or dematerialized form, as on the 'Cut-off date' being Thursday, 23^rd September 2021, may cast their vote electronically on the business as set out in the Notice of 33^rd AGM by electronic voting system form a place other than AGM Venue (remote e voting) will be provided from by a National Securities Depository Limited ('NSDL'). 7. All the members are informed that:
• i. The businesses as set out in the Notice of 33^rs AGM may be transacted through voting by remote e-voting:
• ii. The remote e-voting shall commence on Monday, the 27^th September, 2021 (10:00 A.M. 1ST);
• iii. The remote e-voting shall end on Wednesday, 29^th September 2021 (5:00 P.M. 1ST). The remote e-voting module shall be disabled by NSDL for voting thereafter;
• iv. The cutoff date for determining the eligibility to vote by remote e-voting or at the AGM Venue is Thursday, the 23rd September 2021;
• v. Details of Login ID and password for remote a-voting has been mailed along with attendance
• vi. Any person, who acquires shares of the Company and becomes member of the Company after dispatch of the Notice of AGM and holding shares on the cut-off date i.e. Monday, the 23^re August 2021 may obtain the login ID and password by sanding a request at evoting@nsdl.co.in or issuer/RTA. However, if a person is already registered with NSDL for e-voting then existing ID and password can be used for casting vote; vii. Once the vote on a resolution is cast by the member, the member shall not be allowed to change it subsequently viii. The facility for voting through ballot paper/electronic voting system shall be made available at the AGM Venue to those members who have not cast their vote by remote e-voting ix. Members who have cast their vote by remote e-voting prior to AGM may also attend the AGM but shall not be entitled to cast their vote again at AGM Venue; x. A person whose name is recorded in the register of members or in the register of beneficial owners maintained by the depositories as on the cut-off date only shall be entitled to vote by availing remote e-voting or voting at AGM through ballot paper/electronic voting system;

उत्तराखंड में कार्बेट बाघ अभयारण्य की तर्ज पर राजाजी बाघ अभयारण्य (आरटीआर) के कई हिस्सों को भी साल भर सफारी के लिए खोल दिया गया है।

मुख्य वन्यजीव प्रतिपालक जेएस सुहाग ने यहां सोमवार को बताया कि आरटीआर घुमने आने वाले सैलानी अब साल भर वन्यजीव सफारी पर सत्यनारायण मंदिर से कासरो तक जा सकेंगे। उन्होंने बताया कि दोनों स्थानों के बीच की दरी 19 किलोमीटर है।

उन्होंने कहा, 'इस निर्णय से पर्यटन को बढावा मिलने के साथ ही सफारी संचालकों को भी राहत मिलेगी जो कोविड–19 महामारी के कारण आर्थिक रूप से बरी तरह प्रभावित हुए हैं।' सुहाग ने कहा कि इसके अलावा, सफारी से आजीविका कमाने वाले अन्य लोगों को भी इसका लाभ मिलेगा।

Regular Income Scheme
	• Deposits under this Scheme are accepted for periods as mentioned above. • If interest is payable monthly, it will be paid on the last day of every month (for 36/48/60 months deposits only) during the term of the deposit. • If interest is payable quarterly, it will be paid on the last day of March, June, September and December every year during the term of the deposit. . In all cases, interest will be calculated upto the last day of the month in which the interest is due. • Repayment of principal and interest will be by way of Electronic Clearance Service (ECS), National Electronic Clearance Service (NECS), National Electronic Fund Transfer (NEFT), Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS), cro Account Payee cheques payable at par at any of the Indian branches of the drawee bank or by bank drafts.
Renewals $\bullet$	• Adeposit under the Regular Income Scheme, together with the interest accrued thereon, may be renewed on maturity for a further term at the option of the depositor(s). Similarly, a deposit under the Cumulative Deposit Sch may be renewed for the maturity value. However, in either case, the renewed deposit shall, be in multiples of Rs.1,000/-. If the principal amount of the fresh (renewed) deposit is greater than the total amount payable on t deposit being renewed (old deposit), the depositor(s) shall pay in the difference at least one day before the date of maturity of the old deposit; if the principal amount of the renewed deposit is lower, the Company shall, maturity of the old deposit, pay the excess to the depositor(s). Deposits may be renewed upon tendering the deposit receipt on or before maturity, duly discharged on the reverse along with the renewal application form duly filled in and signed by the sole depositor, or by all or any of authorised joint depositors, as the case may be.
Auto Renewal Facility	A deposit renewed in advance of its maturity will carry, for the renewed term, the rate of interest and other terms and conditions prevailing as on the date of maturity of the old deposit. • Depositors can avail the "Auto Renewal Facility" offered by the Company. If opted, the deposit will automatically be renewed for the same tenure as that of the immediately preceding tenure of the maturing deposit at the rate prevailing on the date of maturity. However, in the case of maturity for the second tenure (post first auto renewal), the maturity amount will be automatically remitted to the designated bank account provided by the d unless there is any other specific instruction relating to renewal from the depositor in this regard.
Repayment $\bullet$	For depositors opting for auto renewal facility, the deposits will be renewed as mentioned above. "From the last one year, we

have seen Sri Lanka curbing imports of nonessentials such as vehicles, which has almost stopped. However, export of most essential items from India is continuing. But now the prob-

lem has got aggravated as a lot of Indian exporters who have already exported have not received their payments. They are worried about when the payment would come," said Ajay Sahai, Director General, Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO).

Covid impact

Sri Lanka's economic woes are partly due to the Covid19 crisis which affected tourism which is one of the primary source of foreign currency earnings. Its mounting foreign debt crisis is seen by many economists as one of the main underlying reasons for the situation. Mumbai, September 6 After delaying the appointment of a fulltime Chairman and Managing Director for a year, the government on Tuesday named Arun Kumar Singh as the next Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. The appointments committee of the cabinet (ACC) approved the appointment of Singh, currently the director (marketing) at the staterun company.

The ACC also cleared the appointment of Vetsa Ramakrishna Gupta, Chief General Manager (BPCL) to the post of Director (Finance), according to anote issued by the Department of Personnel and Training.
