Coats Group plc ("Coats" or the "Company"), the world's leading industrial thread company, was notified on 22 December 2020 that Rajiv Sharma, a Person Discharging Managerial Responsibilities ("PDMR"), acquired and sold ordinary shares of 5 pence each in the Company ("Shares") following the exercise of options granted under the Coats Limited Interim Long Term Incentive Plan ("LILTIP"), the Company's Long Term Incentive Plan ("LTIP") and the Company's Deferred Annual Bonus Plan ("DABP") as set out below:

Following the above transactions, Rajiv's interest in the Company's Shares (excluding unvested options under the Company's LTIP and DABP) is 4,039,012 Shares. This holding, and the net unvested Deferred Annual Bonus awards that are not subject to performance conditions, fulfils more than twice the requirement to have a minimum shareholding of 200% of basic salary that applies to the Chief Executive under the Company's approved Remuneration Policy.
