Other Distribution for Current Period : - B/C Dates for Other Distribution : - Remarks: 1) Basis of preparation The final results of the Company have been prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles in Hong Kong and comply with accounting standards issued by the Hong Kong Society of Accountants ("HK GAAP"). The accounts are prepared under the historical cost convention as modified by the revaluation of certain fixed assets. 2) During the year, the Company disposed of its entire 99% interest in Shenyang Jingwei Passenger Transportation Company Limited to an unrelated party for a consideration of RMB69,013,000. With only about 5% out of the Groups for the profit after tax (2000: 1%; 1999: 3%), the turnover (2000: 3%; 1999: 6%) and the net asset (2000: 4%; 1999: 4%), the impact of the disposal which has resulted a discontinuance of the bus business operation is not significant to the Group's turnover and operating profit for the year and the 1999 Period. 3) The Register of Members of the Company will be closed from Wednesday, 11 April 2001 to Friday, 11 May 2001 (both days inclusive) during which period no transfer of H shares will be effected. Holders of H share who would like to receive final dividend should dispatch their transfer documents together with the relevant share certificate to the share registrar of the Company, Hong Kong Registrars Limited ("HKRL"), on 2nd floor, Vicwood Plaza, 199 Des Voeux Road Central, Hong Kong, before 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, 10 April, 2001 for registration.
