TRANSACTIONS IN OWN SECURITIES
Close Brothers Group plc ("Close Brothers" or the "group") announces that it has purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 25p each on the London Stock Exchange.  The purchased shares will be held in treasury.

Highest price paid per share:				£14.22
Lowest price paid per share:				£ 13.86
Volume weighted average price paid per share:				£ 14.128
This share purchase is pursuant to the group's existing share purchase programme effected under instructions issued to Link Asset Services by Close Brothers on 30 November 2017 and as announced on 30 November 2017 ("the Programme").
Following the above transaction, Close Brothers holds 680,342 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 151,379,948 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
Aggregated information in respect of ordinary shares purchased under the Programme:
