TRANSACTIONS IN OWN SHARES
Close Brothers Group plc ("Close Brothers" or the "group") announces that it has purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 25p each on the London Stock Exchange.  The purchased shares will be held in treasury.

This share purchase is pursuant to the group's existing share purchase programme effected under instructions issued to Link Asset Services by Close Brothers on 30 November 2017 and as announced on 30 November 2017 ("the Programme").
Following the above transaction, Close Brothers holds 395,206 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 151,665,084 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
