TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES

Close Brothers Group plc (the 'Company') announces that on 6 November 2013 it transferred 14,418 ordinary shares of 25 pence each from treasury to participants in its employee share plans.  The transfer price was nil pence.  Following the transfer of these shares, the Company holds 2,323,230 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 148,285,182 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
