Close Brothers Group plc (the 'Company') announces that Ray Greenshields has decided to return to Australia and will therefore retire as a director of the Company with effect from 31 March 2014. He was appointed to the board in November 2008 and has served as chairman of the Risk Committee since its establishment in December 2010.  

The board has today appointed Lesley Jones, who was appointed a non-executive director of the Company on 23 December 2013, to succeed Ray Greenshields as chairman of the Risk Committee with immediate effect, following receipt of UK regulatory approval.

These notifications are made pursuant to the Company's obligations under Listing Rule 9.6.11 R.
