The Board of Directors of Close Brothers Group plc ("Close Brothers") is pleased to announce the appointment of Lesley Jones as an independent non-executive director, subject to UK regulatory approval, and as a member of the Remuneration, Audit, Risk and Nomination and Governance Committees.
Lesley Jones is currently Group Chief Credit Officer of Royal Bank of Scotland plc, a role she has held since 2008 and from which she will be retiring at the end of January 2014. She has extensive banking experience, having held several line management positions within Citigroup from 1978 to 2008. From 2010 to 2011, Lesley was also a non-executive director of Rowan Drilling Norway ASA (formerly Skeie Drilling ASA).
There are no further details in relation to this new director which require disclosure pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules of the Financial Conduct Authority.
