APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS

ClearView Wealth Limited (ASX: CVW, ClearView or the Company) has announced the appointment of Mr Satoshi Wakuya and Ms Susan Young as Non-executive directors to the Company’s Board.

This announcement follows the recent addition of Sony Life Insurance Co., Ltd. (Sony Life) to the ClearView register as a strategic shareholder having acquired a 14.9% interest in the Company. It also follows the resignation of two Non-executive directors in May 2016 and a review of ClearView’s Board composition to ensure a diverse and complementary mix of skills and experience.

Mr Satoshi Wakuya is the General Manager, Head of Business Development Division for Sony Life. He has over 10 years’ experience in the life insurance industry in Japan and has held a number of senior management positions within Sony Life’s ultimate parent company, Sony Corporation. Prior to joining Sony, Mr Wakuya held roles within the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation in which he engaged in Japan’s governmental loan aid and forex operations that developed his financial business background. Mr Wakuya holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from University of Tokyo.

Ms Young has over 30 years’ experience in senior executive roles internationally, with 15 years of experience in investment banking, followed by senior management roles in the corporate and professional services sector. She retired as a Partner of Spencer Stuart, and previously held operational management roles as both a divisional CFO and Joint Venture CEO/President for a Lend Lease Group company. Ms Young currently serves on the board of the Westmead Institute for Medical Research and is Governor of WWF Australia. She has served as a Non-executive Director on ClearView’s superannuation trustee board over the last 6 years, including holding the position as its Chairperson over the last 2 years. Ms Young’s qualifications include a BA (Hons), MA, FGIA, FCIS, MAICD and JP.
