CLEANSPACE ANNOUNCES NEW CHAIR ELECT AND BOARD CHANGES
CleanSpace Holdings Limited (ASX: CSX; CleanSpace), an Australian company that designs, manufactures, and sells high level respiratory protection equipment for healthcare and industrial markets, is pleased to announce the appointment of Bruce Rathie as a Non-Executive Director and Chair elect.
Mr Rathie commenced as a Non-Executive Director on 18 October 2021 and will be presented to shareholders as Chair elect at the Company’s AGM.
Mr Rathie is a highly regarded Chairman and Non-Executive Director with more than 20 years’ governance experience across a broad range of industries and businesses, including financial services, technology and biotechnology. His expertise in technology commercialisation and working with high growth companies is expected to be highly beneficial to CleanSpace. Mr Rathie is currently Chair of 4DMedical Limited (ASX: 4DX) and Non-Executive Director of Cettire Limited (ASX: CTT) and PolyNovo Limited (ASX: PNV). He has had successful prior careers in law and investment banking and holds degrees in law and commerce together with a Master of Business Administration. He is a Fellow of the AICD, the Governance Institute of Australia and the Australian Institute of Managers & Leaders.
Current CleanSpace Chair Dr Ron Weinberger, who has served in this role since December 2019, will remain on the Board as a Non-Executive Director. As part of the Board changes, Bill Highland will retire as a Director on 31 October 2021. Mr Highland has been a board member since August 2015, serving as Chair from November 2016 until December 2019.
Both Dr Weinberger and Mr Highland have played important roles in supporting CleanSpace’s growth and development, including through the IPO process and during the Company’s first year as an ASX-listed entity. Their combined backgrounds in medical device commercialisation and industrial respiratory protection supported the Company as it underwent rapid growth and expansion in overseas markets.
The CleanSpace Board of Directors would like to extend its thanks to Mr Highland for his six years of service, which has contributed to the Company’s development from an early-stage medical device company to an ASXlisted company; and to Dr Weinberger for his recent role as Chair, particularly through the IPO process, and welcomes his continued involvement as a Non-Executive Director.
