Appointment of Peter Backhouse as Senior Independent Director

Clarkson PLC ("Clarksons") the world's leading shipping services group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Backhouse as Senior Independent Director to the board with immediate effect.

Peter was appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Clarkson PLC on 16th September, 2013 and is a member the Audit Committee, Remuneration Committee and Nominations Committee.
