TRADING HALT

The securities of AusNiCo Limited (the “Company”) will be placed in Trading Halt Session State at the request of the Company, pending the release of an announcement by the Company. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in Trading Halt Session State until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Wednesday, 14 September 2011 or when the announcement is released to the market.

Re: AusNiCo Limited – Request for Trading Halt

AusNiCo Limited (ASX:ANW) requests a trading halt be put in place prior to commencement of trading on Wednesday, 14 September 2011, pending an announcement regarding capital raising.

If the Company is unable to update the market prior to the commencement of trading on Wednesday 14 September 2011, a request for voluntary suspension will be made.

The Company is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted.
