CIRCLE GROUP: eXyond provides a leading motorway company with the "FCD metadata service – regional road traffic monitoring" for 24 months

New service based on floating car data for continuous road traffic monitoring and mobility planning support

Milan, December 17, 2025

CIRCLE Group ("CIRCLE" or the "Company") - an Innovative SME listed on the Euronext Growth Milan market, heading the Group specialized in the process analysis and the development of solutions for the digitalization of the port and intermodal logistics sectors, as well as in the international consultancy on Green Deal and energy transition topics – announces that its subsidiary eXyond has made the new "FCD metadata service – regional road traffic monitoring" available to a leading motorway company for 24 months through the Public Administration Electronic Market (MePA).

The product, part of the "ICT Services – ICT Support and Consulting" initiative, has a flat fee of €100,000 per two-year license, referring to a regional area, and allows the Public Administration to access advanced data for traffic and travel time analysis in a simple, secure, and standardized manner.

Based on anonymized GPS-Floating Car Data (FCD) that is fully GDPR compliant, the service provides metadata from a fleet of approximately 4 million vehicles that generate over 950 million GPS points per day. The information covers a national road network of over 100,000 km and includes motorways, state roads, major provincial roads, and urban areas. The data is updated every three minutes and segmented into 500-meter sections, allowing for near realtime analysis of travel times, average speeds, and traffic levels.

The dataset is available via API or standard exchange files and has already undergone cleaning, map-matching, and route-matching processes. It can therefore be quickly integrated into existing platforms or information systems, in compliance with the license conditions governing its areas of use.

Thanks to this service, regions, metropolitan cities, provinces, and other public bodies can continuously monitor traffic trends on a regional and local scale, support the planning of infrastructure interventions and sustainable mobility policies, analyze congestion and road safety phenomena, and assess the impact of construction sites, events, or measures on traffic flow.

The "FCD metadata service – regional road traffic monitoring" service is part of the "Connect 4 Agile Growth" industrial program and strengthens the positioning of eXyond and Circle Group in the development of advanced infomobility services and the enhancement of data for road safety, logistics, and national mobility efficiency (in line with the Connect 4 Agile Growth plan), including through the activities of Infoblu NewGen.
