GRUPPO CIR: PERFEZIONATA LA CESSIONE DELLA QUOTA IN SEG (SWISS EDUCATION GROUP) PER € 64,1 MILIONI

Ritorno complessivo sull'investimento di € 45,5 milioni. Mondardini: "L'operazione crea valore per CIR ed è coerente con la nostra strategia di sviluppo"

Milano, 26 novembre 2015 – CIR-Compagnie Industriali Riunite S.p.A. rende noto che la controllata al 100% CIR International ha perfezionato in data odierna la cessione a un gruppo di investitori della propria quota del 17,4% in Swiss Education Group (SEG) per un importo ai cambi attuali di € 64,1 milioni, di cui € 3,9 milioni relativi al rimborso di un prestito soci.

SEG è il principale gruppo svizzero nonché uno dei più importanti operatori internazionali nella formazione di figure manageriali nel settore dell'ospitalità con 6.100 studenti provenienti da 110 paesi.

Il gruppo CIR aveva investito in SEG nel 2011. L'operazione comporterà per il gruppo una plusvalenza di € 42,1 milioni nell'esercizio 2015 con un ritorno complessivo sull'investimento di € 45,5 milioni, corrispondente a un IRR (Internal Rate of Return – Tasso Interno di Rendimento) del 30%.

L'amministratore delegato di CIR, Monica Mondardini, ha commentato: "Dopo aver supportato la crescita di SEG negli ultimi quattro anni, abbiamo perfezionato un accordo che crea valore per CIR. L'operazione è coerente con la nostra strategia di focalizzare il gruppo sullo sviluppo dei suoi tre settori principali – media con Espresso, componentistica auto con Sogefi e sanità con KOS - procedendo contestualmente alla migliore valorizzazione delle attività non strategiche".

Milan, 26 November 2015 – CIR-Compagnie Industriali Riunite S.p.A. has announced that its fully owned subsidiary CIR International completed today the sale of its 17.4% shareholding in Swiss Education Group (SEG) to a group of investors for an amount at current exchange rates of € 64.1 million, of which € 3.9 million refers to the repayment of a shareholder loan.

SEG is the largest hotel management education group in Switzerland and a leading provider of hospitality management education and training internationally with 6,100 students from 110 different countries.

The CIR group had invested in SEG in 2011. The deal will give the group a capital gain of € 42.1 million in the year 2015 with an overall return on the investment of € 45.5 million, corresponding to an IRR (Internal Rate of Return) of 30%.

Monica Mondardini, CEO of CIR, said: "After having supported the growth of SEG in the last four years, we have completed an agreement that creates value for CIR. This transaction is consistent with our strategy of focusing the group on the development of its three main sectors – media with Espresso, automotive components with Sogefi, healthcare with KOS – pursuing at the same time the best valuation of its nonstrategic activities".
