Cineworld announces that Helen Weir has notified the Board of her wish to step down as a Non-Executive Director of the Company to pursue other interests.  Helen will therefore not be standing for election at the Company's Annual General Meeting in May 2020 and will retire as a Director at the conclusion of that meeting.

The Board thanks Helen for her valuable contribution during a busy period for the Company.  A process is underway to appoint an additional independent Non-Executive Director.
