conclusion of a strategic cooperation framework agreement

CIG PANNONIA LIFE INSURANCE PLC. (registered office: H-1097 Budapest, Könyves Kálmán körút 11.B, company registration nr.: 01 10 045857, hereinafter referred to as Company) hereby informs the Esteemed Investors and the public, that the Company and its wholly owned subsidiary, CIG Pannónia Első Magyar Általános Biztosító Zrt. (together: CIG Pannónia Group), as well as MBH Gondoskodás Egészség- és Önsegélyező Pénztár (registered office: 1134 Budapest, Váci út 23-27.; registration number: 01-04-0000198; tax number: 18232761-1-41) (MBH EP) and MBH Gondoskodás Nyugdíjpénztár (registered office: 1134 Budapest, Váci út 23-27.; registration number: 01-04-0000109; tax number: 18079409-2-41) (MBH NYP) (collectively: Funds) have today entered into a long-term, fixed-term (10-year) strategic cooperation agreement (Framework Agreement) in order to make full use of the synergies arising from the cooperation between the fund and the insurer.

Through cooperation under the framework agreement, CIG Pannónia Group will be able to reach more than 67,000 additional customers on top of its current customer base of nearly 200,000 through joint synergies and potential related product developments, new product and service packages, while the Funds will have the opportunity to offer personalized insurance products.

The Company recalls that the cornerstone of its Growth Strategy¹ announced in July 2021 and currently under review was to become a reliable, significant and stable composite insurer with both life and non-life insurance product portfolios over the next five years. As a preliminary step towards achieving this goal, on December 15, 2022, a framework agreement² was concluded with the legal predecessor of MBH EP, which forms the fundamental basis and precedent for the present agreement, and on the basis of which the now announced and expanded cooperation framework was created.
