Subject: Information on the Status of the Waste management facility at Gubaševo bb

Further to the unfortunate events during the night from Friday to Saturday, 13 December 2025, the Management Board of the CIAK Group issues the following statement.

On the evening of Friday, 12 December 2025, for reasons that have not yet been determined, a fire broke out involving materials at the waste management facility located at Gubaševo bb. This facility is one of five CIAK Group platforms dedicated to the proper management of hazardous and nonhazardous waste across the Republic of Croatia.

The Gubaševo site was the CIAK Group's most significant location within its waste management operations. It is equipped with the most advanced hazardous-waste management equipment in Croatia (including the German LOFT unit), recently installed rooftop solar panels ensuring the plant's energy self-sufficiency, as well as other hightechnology equipment. The extent of the damage at the site will be assessed in the coming days, along with any impact on the Ecology sector's business operations within the CIAK Group. We would like to reiterate that CIAK d.o.o. is one of the largest and most highly certified entities in Croatia in the hazardous waste management segment, holding all valid permits and undergoing regular

inspections (e.g., fire safety inspection, electrical power inspection, water management inspection, environmental protection inspection, etc.). The most recent coordinated inspection was conducted by the competent state authorities less than 60 days ago.Based on the facts currently available, we are pleased to note that the staff of the Dr. Andrija Štampar Institute has confirmed that, outside the immediate fire area, there is no presence of any hazardous chemical compounds in the air.

The CIAK Group is known for continuous growth over more than 30 years since its founding, as well as a consistent track record of profitable operations. We are proud that, throughout our work at the hazardous waste treatment facility in Gubaševo bb, we recorded no incidents for two decades,

further confirming the high level of responsibility we uphold in our business practices toward employees, partners, and the local community. In the hazardous waste segment in Croatia, the CIAK Group works with all major multinational and national companies, such as Pliva (Teva), Končar, General Electric, Belupo, Hospira, JANAF, INA, Genera, and others. We are grateful to our partners for their cooperation and support at this time. Over the past weekend, we ensured operational business continuity for them and will continue to do so in the coming days thanks primarily to our local industry partners.

We are particularly proud that, over all these years, we have helped ensure that more than 500,000 tonnes of hazardous waste were properly treated and transported to appropriate facilities abroad thereby contributing to a cleaner environment in our community. Unfortunately, hazardous waste in Croatia has, at times, been "disposed of" in inadequate ways (as we have all witnessed through media reports every few years). Through its other platforms within the Ecology segment and, we believe, also through a future restored facility at the Gubaševo bb site the CIAK Group will seek to continue contributing to quality of life in the Republic of Croatia. We would like to extend our thanks to everyone who provided support, starting with the most important - our employees and our fire services, as well as all other emergency and public services, the City of Zabok, our fellow citizens of Zabok, and all individuals who helped ensure that this unfortunate event had the smallest possible impact on the environment.

With regard to the investment community, the 2024 financial report shows that the Ecology segment at the CIAK Group level contributes approximately 8% of revenues and of earnings before interest and taxes (all six platforms combined). This includes the battery recycling sector (which has not been affected by this event) and the waste management sector. Of that, the waste management sector accounts for less than 4% of the Group's revenues, and at this time we do not consider that this event will have a significant impact on the CIAK Group's overall operations as a whole - although it will, naturally, have a more material impact within the waste management sector itself. The published reports for the first three quarters clearly show that the CIAK Group continues to deliver record revenues, EBITDA, and operating results year after year, and this has also been the case this year across the first three quarters. We will disclose the impact of this event on the CIAK Group's overall results once the calculations have been completed, through our upcoming quarterly releases, in line with our established practice of transparent communication since the Group's listing on the Zagreb Stock Exchange in early 2021.

Finally, as the CIAK Group has grown primarily as a family-owned company (corporation), we can confirm to all our employees at the Gubaševo bb site that employment continuity within the CIAK Group and the level of compensation is secured for everyone, given the presence of several CIAK Group companies, branches, and facilities in the immediate area. Alongside our valued partners, our primary responsibility is first and foremost toward our employees. Thank you to all employees for their swift response and care.
