PRE-CLOSE TRADING UPDATE

Churchill China plc (AIM: CHH), the manufacturer and global distributor of ceramic and related products to hospitality and retail markets, is pleased to provide an update in respect of trading for the six months to 30 June 2013.

The Group's business performance has remained at the strong levels experienced in the first quarter of the year and the Board is pleased with the progress made by the Hospitality division against a solid comparative period in 2012. This good performance by Hospitality has been due to targeted improvements in our worldwide distribution and in the successful launch of new products.

The Board remains confident of meeting its expectations for the full year.

Churchill China intends to issue its Interim Results for the six months to 30 June 2013 on Thursday 29 August 2013.
