Mark Ratcliffe appointed as Chorus Director
Chorus today announced the appointment of Chorus CEO Mark Ratcliffe as a Director of Chorus Limited.
“Mark’s depth of experience in New Zealand’s telecommunications industry, including leading Chorus as an operationally separate business unit within Telecom, means he’ll bring invaluable insight to the Board,” said Chorus Chairman Sue Sheldon.
Mr Ratcliffe worked for Telecom for 20 years, commencing in the finance department before moving into various marketing, product development, product management and IT roles. He was promoted to the Telecom executive team in 1999.
In March 2008, he became Chief Executive Officer of Chorus as an operationally separate business unit and in May 2010 he was seconded to lead a team focused on Telecom’s participation in the Government’s UFB initiative. In July 2011 he was appointed to the role of CEO of Chorus subject to the demerger from Telecom proceeding. Chorus became a standalone business on 1 December 2011.
