Announcement on approval of Articles of Association by CBIRC

China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd. (the "Company" or "CPIC") hereby announces that, refer to the announcements dated 21 July 2020, 28 July 2020 and 21 August 2020, the resolution on amendments to the articles of association of the Company (the "Articles of Association") was considered and approved at the 2020 first extraordinary general meeting of the Company convened on 21 August 2020 (the "EGM") and necessary amendments were made to the Articles of Association based on the current circumstances of the Company. For details of the amendments, please refer to the announcement of the Company dated 21 July 2020.

The Company has recently received the "Approval of the Amendments to the Articles of Association of China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd." (CBIRC Approval No. [2020]932) issued by the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (the "CBIRC"). The CBIRC has approved the amendments to the Articles of Association that were proposed and passed at the EGM.

The amended Articles of Association took effect on the date of approval received from the CBIRC. The full text of the Articles of Association will shortly be submitted to the National Storage Mechanism and be available for inspection at https://data.fca.org.uk/#/nsm/nationalstoragemechanism. A copy will also be available shortly on the Company's website at http://www.cpic.com.cn/gdr/gdrggen/.
