Managing Director appointment

Chesterfield Resources Plc, the copper and gold mineral exploration company, is pleased to announce that Michael Parker is being promoted from Chief Operating Officer to the position of Managing Director.

Managing Director, Mike Parker said, "I am very pleased to accept the appointment and look forward to lead the team through the next stages of the exploration program with the company. Our local technical team has been released from lockdown and is now in the field preparing several targets for drilling later this month."

Executive Chairman Martin French said, "We are delighted that Mike Parker has accepted this new position which strengthens and broadens our management structure. Mike had a long and distinguished career at First Quantum Minerals where he was country manager of significant mining jurisdictions in DRC and then Peru. He was key in two major copper discoveries for First Quantum.  Mike has been with Chesterfield for over a year and has been instrumental in running operations and developing our targeting in Cyprus."
