PDMR share dealings
Chemring Group PLC ("Chemring" or "the Company") announces that on 16 December 2022 an award of 64,048 deferred ordinary 1p shares in the capital of the Company previously granted to Andrew Lewis, a director of the Company, vested. The deferred share award was originally made in satisfaction of 40% of Mr Lewis's annual bonus payment for the year ended 31 October 2019. 64,048 ordinary shares 1p were subsequently sold, of which 30,254 shares were sold by the Company on behalf of Mr Lewis to cover tax and national insurance liabilities arising on vesting.
On 17 December 2022, an award of 245,085 ordinary 1p shares in the capital of the Company previously granted to Mr Lewis on 17 December 2019 under the Chemring Group Performance Share Plan vested in full. Further details on the basis for vesting of the award were disclosed in the Company's 2022 Annual Report. Following the vesting, 115,770 ordinary 1p shares were sold by the Company on behalf of Mr Lewis on 19 December 2022 to cover tax and national insurance liabilities arising on vesting.
Mr Lewis and his wife sold 100,000 ordinary 1p shares on 16 December 2022 and 123,660 ordinary 1p shares on 19 December 2022.
Following this series of transactions, Mr Lewis retains an interest in 306,807 ordinary 1p shares.
