Chalice Appoints Jo Gaines as Non-Executive Director

Chalice Mining Limited (“Chalice” or “the Company”, ASX: CHN | OTCQB: CGMLF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Jo Gaines as an independent Non-Executive Director, effective immediately.

Ms Gaines brings extensive experience in intergovernmental negotiations and stakeholder engagement and is currently Chair of the Government Employees Superannuation Board (GESB) and a Director of DevelopmentWA.

Ms Gaines is an experienced, highly regarded leader and strategic policy director, having previously worked as the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Premier of Western Australia. She was a leader in the development of the WA Recovery Plan in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prior to this position, Ms Gaines served as Branch Secretary for the Community and Public Sector Union/Civil Service Association for over ten years.

She has worked with government, private sector and non-government organisations to drive reforms in a diverse range of fields, including job creation, economic diversification, energy, training, child protection, health, contracting and procurement, and climate change.

Ms Gaines is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Australia and a Post Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from Curtin University.

Chalice Chairman, Derek La Ferla, said: “We are delighted that Jo will be joining the Chalice Board, bringing a broad strategic skillset that will be of immense value to the Company as we transition to project development. Jo’s extensive leadership experience and expertise in the development and negotiation of public policy at the highest levels of government in Australia will provide additional capability and valuable insight to the Board.”
