ČEZ applied for continuation of proceedings for Unit 1 of Dukovany power plant

Today on February 26, 2016 ČEZ, a.s. applied to the State Office for Nuclear Safety (SONS) for continuation of administrative proceedings in the matter of the permit for future operation of Unit 1 of Dukovany nuclear power plant. Proceedings were suspended until February 28, 2016 due to the inspection of documentation relating to x-rays of welds. Extended validity of existing operations licence will expire on March 31, 2016.

Today, updated documentation of certificate of facility preparedness, which incorporates results of inspections, was submitted to SONS. Concurrently an application for continuation of administrative proceedings in the matter of licence for further operations of this unit was submitted.
