Everyone who is taking pictures by means of a minicam and a film can participate in the digital world. In addition to the film development it is possible to have all picture data burned on a CD Rom. Under the name of “Image CD”, 2.6 million picture-CD’s have been sold in the year 2002 (+ 77 % compared to previous year). This special service added 3.2% to all film developing orders. But the middle eastern European countries as well can keep the field; the portion of digitial products in the Czech Republic e.g. amounts to 5.3 % and in Poland to 3.5 %. Increase in corporate planning: 12 % of the digital turnover in 2003 In the course of 2002, CeWe Color’s photolab group could raise the number of digital photos from 8.4 million pieces to 39.2 million pieces (+ 364 %).
