Mit der Knowles, Inc. – dem amerikanisch / englischen Hersteller und Marktführer akustischer Hörgeräte-Komponenten – wurde eine Vertriebsvereinbarung geschlossen. Die neu entwickelten Telefon- / PC-Zubehörprodukte “EMKAY” werden nunmehr, gebietsweise exclusiv, über die Marketingorganisation von CeoTronics vertrieben. Als weltgrößter Hersteller von Hörgeräte- und Subminiatur- Mikrofonen nutzt Knowles die jahrelange gute Geschäftsbeziehung zu CeoTronics, um ihre teilweise neue Ausrichtung hin zum System-Anbieter im Markt der “hands free” – Telefonie und für PC-Anwendungen zu implementieren. CeoTronics trifft in diesem Segment hauptsächlich auf 2 etablierte Anbieter (Plantronics, USA und GN Netcom, Dänemark) die weltweit nahezu 90% des Marktes besetzen. Das Umsatzvolumen betrug 1999 in Europa mehr als 100 Mio. Euro – mit weiterhin zweistelligen Wachstumsraten. Nach einer sorgfältigen Marktforschungs-Aktion sieht CeoTronics in diesem rasch wachsenden Markt eine große Chance, sich mit höchster Audio-Qualität zu wirtschaftlichen Preisen als 3. Anbieter etablieren zu können. CeoTronics ist bekannt für ihre z. T. einzigartigen Produkte und Systeme in der Audio Video Data Communication unter erschwerten Umgebungsbedingungen (z. B. Flughäfen, Ölplattformen, Feuerwehren, Polizeien aller Art, Lärmindustrie). Mit dem Eintritt in den Telefon- und PC-Markt gibt CeoTronics die Abstinenz für den Massenmarkt auf. Die neue Produktgruppe wird als eigenes Profit-Center geführt und von dem branchenbekannten Marketing-Spezialisten Dieter Hartmann geleitet werden, der ab 1.1.2001 von EMKAY zu CeoTronics wechseln wird. With Knowles, Inc. – an American / British manufacturer and world leader for acoustic hearing aid components – was signed a distribution agreement. CeoTronics will distribute the new developed equipment “EMKAY” for telephone and PC – in some areas exclusively – over the CeoTronics marketing organization. As one of the world-largest manufacturer for hearing aids and subminiature microphones, Knowles is using their years of good business relationship to CeoTronics to implement their partly new orientation as system supplier in the market for “hands free” telephone and PC applications. In this industry CeoTronics finds mainly 2 established suppliers (Plantronics, USA and GN Netcom, Denmark), who have together a worldwide marketshare about 90 per cent. The net sales in 1999 in Europe amounted to over 100 million Euros with still two-digit growth-rates. After a careful market research, CeoTronics see a great opportunity for establishing itself with high audio quality and favourable prices as third supplier in this fast growing market. CeoTronics is known for their partly unique products and systems for audio, video and data communication under extreme working conditions (e.g. airports, oil-rigs, fire brigades, polices and any kind of noise industries). With entering into the telephone and PC market, CeoTronics gives up its abstinence for the mass market.
