Centuria Capital Limited – Market Update
Centuria Metropolitan REIT – IPO Update
Centuria Property Funds Limited (CPFL) and Centuria Capital Limited (ASX: CNI) are pleased to announce that the bookbuild for the Centuria Metropolitan REIT (ASX: CMA) has completed and the offer has been underwritten by UBS AG Australian Branch and CIMB Capital Markets (Australia) Limited.
On 24 October 2014 investors in the unlisted Centuria Diversified Property Fund (the Fund) voted overwhelmingly in favour of resolutions to facilitate the listing of the Fund on the ASX and to rename the Fund as the Centuria Metropolitan REIT.
Upon listing on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), CMA will own a portfolio of eight assets independently valued at 182.9 million with a forecast distribution yield of 8.25% (annualised) in FY15 growing to 8.50% in FY16.
Centuria CEO, John McBain said, “Centuria has been both an investor and manager of Australian metropolitan assets for over 15 years so we are extremely excited to be able to create a new listed REIT which is focused on this sector of the market. We have been very pleased with the significant support shown by both local and overseas institutional and retail investors which has led to an underwriting in advance of the original timetable”.
With the bookbuild completed Centuria expects to lodge the CMA Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) with the Australian Securities Investment Commission (ASIC) on 11 November 2014. CMA is expected to commence trading on the ASX on 10 December.
Centuria is being advised by UBS and CIMB (Financial Advisors, Joint Lead Managers and Bookrunners) and Henry Davis York (legal advisor).
