APPOINTMENT OF CEO

The Board of Over Fifty Group Limited (OFG) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr John McBain as Chief Executive Officer of OFG.

Mr McBain has served on the Board of OFG and the Board and Investment Committees of the Over Fifty Mutual Friendly Society and the Over Fifty Guardian Friendly Society since July 2006. He is also a director of our other major subsidiary, Century Funds Management Limited (Century), and our 50% owned associate, Mortgageport Management Limited.

Mr McBain was appointed Acting CEO on 4th February 2008 and was a founding director and major shareholder in boutique funds manager Century, which was established in 1998 and acquired by OFG in July 2006.

Mr McBain is 51 years of age. He is an experienced manager with a strong track record in business-building and has wide funds management experience. Mr McBain is a substantial shareholder in OFG and has contracted to act in an executive capacity until at least mid 2010. Chairman, Roger Dobson said, “OFG is well on the way to become a stronger, more diversified funds management business with in excess of $1.7 billion of funds under management presently and an expectation that this will grow as the business matures. We consider that this commitment by John to lead the management team through the forthcoming consolidation and growth period is an important step in building OFG and the Board is of the view that the present market conditions provide excellent opportunities for the group going forward.”
