Appointment of Senior Independent Director

Centrica plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Hester as Senior Independent Director with effect from 1 October 2016. Stephen succeeds Ian Meakins who steps down from the Board as Senior Independent Director with effect from 1 October 2016.

Stephen Hester joined Centrica as an Independent Non-Executive Director on 1 June 2016, bringing to the Board a broad understanding of financial services and FTSE100 businesses, together with a deep knowledge of highly regulated businesses.
