TRADING HALT

The securities of Centaurus Metals Limited (the "Company") will be placed in pre-open at the request of the Company, pending the release of an announcement by the Company. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in pre-open until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Wednesday, 8 September 2010 or when the announcement is released to the market.

Centaurus Metals Limited ("Company") [ASX Code: CTM] requests a trading halt in its securities in accordance with ASX Listing Rule 17.1 effective immediately pending an announcement by the Company in relation to a proposed capital raising.

The Company requests the trading halt until an announcement is released, subject to the limit imposed by ASX Listing Rules.
