The directors of Glengarry Resources Limited are pleased to announce that the Company has reached agreement in principle for Mr Keith McKay to join the Board of Glengarry as a Non-Executive Director. The appointment will be made at the next Board meeting to be held on August 26th 2004.
Keith has been the Chairman of Gindalbie Gold NL since October 1997 and is a geologist with over 30 years experience in the mining industry, including senior management roles with several Australian and international companies. Keith's previous positions include the Managing Director of Gallery Gold NL (1998-2003), Vice President of Battle Mountain (Australia) Inc (1985-1997), Director of Nuigini Mining Limited (1995-1997) and Managing Director of Duval Mining Australia Limited (1984-1985). Keith has an in depth knowledge of the mineral and corporate regimes in Australia, Africa and North America.
Keith has an enviable track record for taking projects from the grass roots exploration stage through to development and production. Most recently he assembled the team that discovered Gallery Gold's one million ounce Mupane gold deposit in Botswana. Keith was also the driving force behind the discovery of the high grade Scott (500,000 oz) and Vera/Nancy $(2,000,000)$ oz) gold lodes at Pajingo in NE Queensland. Other discoveries include the Triple P and Marwest gold deposits in the Plutonic greenstone belt of central W.A. and the Digger Rocks, Cosmic Boy, Flying Fox and New Morning nickel sulphide deposits in the Forrestania greenstone belt of southern W.A.
Corporately, Keith's achievements include negotiating the successful merger of Gallery Gold and Spinifex Gold in early 2003 to create a single company with a market capitalisation over \$100 million. Keith has also been responsible for raising significant funds in difficult market conditions for ongoing exploration and development programs.
