Year end trading update

Notice of analyst and investor seminar

Centaur Media Plc (LSE: CAU), the business to business information, insight and events group, today announces a trading update for the year ended 31 December 2017.

Year end trading update

The Group continues to make both operational and financial progress and remains on track for its full year expectations. The year has seen substantive development across the Group towards its objective of being a leading B2B media and marketing services group.  Some highlights include:

·     Successful reshaping of the portfolio with two strategic transactions - the acquisition of MarketMakers and the sale of Home Interest; MarketMakers, an important addition to the Group, is now fully integrated and has performed well.  The post-sale separation of Home Interest was completed smoothly 

·     Our flagship event, The Festival of Marketing, had a record number of attendees

·     Ongoing improvement in revenue mix

·     Material improvement in both cash collection and debtors' days

·     Continued progress with the operational improvement programme, resulting in increased efficiencies and reduced costs

·     Management continue to assess potential strategic acquisition opportunities

·     Appointment of Neil Johnson as Chairman, effective 3 January 2018

Analyst and investor seminar

On 21 February 2018, Centaur Media will host an afternoon seminar for analysts and investors.  The seminar will be held at Olympia London where The Business Travel Show, Europe's largest specialist event for business travel professionals and one of Centaur's flagship events, is taking place. 

The seminar will focus on MarketMakers, the UK's leading B2B integrated marketing services business.  It will consist of presentations and demonstrations by executive and operational management on MarketMakers itself and how it fits within the broader Centaur Media Group.

Preliminary results

Centaur Media will announce its preliminary results for the year ended 31 December 2017 on Wednesday 21 March 2018.
