Non-Executive Director Appointment

Centaur Media Plc, an international provider of business information, training and specialist consultancy, announces the appointment of Richard Staveley as a non-independent non-executive director of the Company with immediate effect. 

Richard is a qualified accountant with over twenty years' experience of equity investing and fund management, primarily in publicly quoted companies. He is the lead fund manager at Rockwood Strategic Plc, which holds 5.9% of Centaur, and an advisor to Harwood Capital LLP, which holds 23.8%.

Since qualifying as a Chartered Accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Richard has worked in a senior capacity and as fund manager at a number of successful fund management businesses, including Majedie Asset Management, and was a co-founder of River and Mercantile Asset Management.  He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in politics from the University of Newcastle.
