Für den Inhalt der Mitteilung ist allein der Emittent verantwortlich. —————————————————————————— CENIT setzt im ersten Quartal Internationalisierung um Im ersten Quartal 2000 hat die CENIT AG Systemhaus ihre Internationalisierung konsequent umgesetzt. Neben der Akquisition von Desktop Engineering in Großbritannien sowie der französischen Spring Technologies unterzeichnete CENIT einen Vorvertrag zur hundertprozentigen Übernahme von L&H Consultants in Nordamerika. Damit hat das Unternehmen in den ersten drei Monaten die entscheidenden Schritte zum global agierenden Systemhaus unternommen. Die Geschäftsentwicklung im ersten Quartal hat die Erwartungen erfüllt. Dank einer vollen Auslastung im Dienstleistungsbereich konnte der Rohertrag auf 10,1 Millionen EUR (1. Quartal 1999: 7,6 Millionen EUR) gesteigert werden. Das entspricht einem kräftigen Plus von 33 Prozent. Bedingt durch ein verhältnismäßig schwaches Hardwaregeschäft liegt der Umsatz mit 14,4 Millionen EUR rund acht Prozent niedriger als im Vorjahr (1. Quartal 1999: 15,7 Millionen EUR). Ebenfalls wie geplant entwickelte sich das operative Ergebnis (EBIT). Es beläuft sich auf -0,8 Millionen EUR (1. Quartal 1999: 0,0 Millionen EUR). Ursache hierfür sind vor allem einmalige Aufwendungen für Mergers&Acquisitions sowie umfangreiche Investitionen in den Aufbau der Tochtergesellschaft in der Schweiz und in die neu gegründete Berliner Niederlassung. Einen enormen Zuwachs verzeichnete CENIT beim Auftragseingang. Er konnte gegenüber dem Vorjahreszeitraum verdoppelt werden. Die Zahl der Mitarbeiter stieg um 98 auf 470 (1. Quartal 1999: 342). “Das erste Quartal ist im Geschäftsverlauf der CENIT AG Systemhaus traditionell immer das schwächste. Das zweite Halbjahr wird wie üblich von einer deutlich stärkeren Ertragslage geprägt sein. Unsere jüngst getätigten Akquisitionen in Nordamerika, Frankreich und England werden dabei zusätzlich für Aufwind sorgen”, kommentierte Vorstandssprecher Falk Engelmann das heute vorgelegte Quartalsergebnis. “Mitte des Jahres werden wir eine überarbeitete Planung für das Geschäftsjahr 2000 vorlegen, die diese Einflüsse berücksichtigt.” ———————————————————————– CENIT continues to implement its policy of internationalisation in the first quarter CENIT AG Systemhaus consistently continued to pursue its policy of internationalisation in the first quarter of 2000. After the acquisition of Desktop Engineering in the UK and Spring Technologies in France, CENIT signed a preliminary agreement for the hundred percent takeover of L&H Consultants in North America. Thus, in the first three months of this year, CENIT has taken decisive steps towards becoming a global player. Business developments in the first quarter were in line with expectations. Thanks to full utilisation of capacities in the service sector, gross earnings rose to EUR 10.1m (first quarter 1999: EUR 7.6m). This corresponds to a steep rise of 33 per cent. Due to the comparatively weak hardware business, sales, at EUR 14.4m, fell about eight per cent short of the previous year’s figure (first quarter 1999: EUR 15.7m). Operating earnings also developed as planned, at EUR -0.8m (first quarter 1999: EUR 0.0m). This is attributable primarily to non- recurring expenses for mergers and acquisitions, and to extensive investments to build up the Swiss subsidiary and the newly founded branch in Berlin. There was an enormous rise in orders received by CENIT – twice the figure for the same period last year. The number of employees rose by 98 to 470 (first quarter 1999: 342). “The first quarter is traditionally the weakest for CENIT AG Systemhaus’ business. As always, the second half of the year will generate markedly higher earnings.
