CC Japan Income & Growth Trust plc

Subscription Share Rights

The Board of CC Japan Income & Growth Trust plc (the "Company") would like to remind holders of the Company's Subscription Shares that pursuant to the terms of the Bonus Issue as described in the prospectus published on 22 Janaury 2021 (the "Prospectus"), Subscription Share Rights can be exercised on the last Business Day of each quarter, until the last Business Day in February 2023. The Subscription Share Rights can next be exercised on 31 August 2021.

The Company announced on 16 February 2021 a Subscription Price of 161 pence, payable on exercise of each Subscription Share in accordance with the terms of issue of the Subscription Shares which were set out in the Prospectus.

While we cannot offer investment advice, we would draw Subscription Shareholders' attention to the difference between the Subscription Price of 161 pence and the market price of the Company's existing Ordinary Shares, which are currently trading significantly below the Subscription Price.

The Ordinary Shares closed at 137.5 pence on 9 August 2021. Thus, under this example, if Subscription Shareholders were to exercise their Subscription Shares they would be paying 23.5 pence more per Ordinary Share than by purchasing Ordinary Shares in the market.

The Board would like to remind all Subscription Shareholders of the importance of reviewing the current market price of Ordinary Shares before deciding to exercise any Subscription Shares. If in any doubt about the action to be taken, shareholders should consult a stockbroker or other independent professional adviser authorised under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.

This announcement has been released on behalf of the Company by order of the Board.
