Item 8.01 OTHER EVENTS.

On January 2, 2020, CBAK Energy Technology, Inc. (the “Company”) received notification from staff of the NASDAQ Listing Qualifications that the Company has regained compliance with the minimum bid price requirement for continued listing set forth in NASDAQ Listing Rules 5550(a)(2). As a result, the matter of the Company's noncompliance with the minimum bid price requirement under NASDAQ Listing Rules, as announced in the Company’s Current Report on Form 8-K dated September 26, 2019, had been closed.
