Catalyst strengthens management team with appointment of experienced finance executive as CFO

Appointment bolsters the Company as it seeks to increase shareholder value through a combination of exploration and M&A

Catalyst Metals Limited ( Catalyst or the Company ) (ASX: CYL) is pleased to announce that it has taken another key step in its growth strategy with the appointment of experienced gold industry executive Donna Thornton as Chief Financial Officer, effective February 27, 2023.

Ms Thornton’s appointment follows the Company’s recent takeover offer for WA gold explorer Vango Mining and its announcement that it is in talks to acquire the Plutonic Gold Mine next to Vango’s tenements (see ASX release dated January 10, 2023).

Ms Thornton is a qualified chartered accountant with over 20 years of experience in the resources and contractor mining sectors, having most recently held the position of Group Financial Controller with ASX-listed gold miner Alkane Resources.

During her time with Alkane, Ms Thornton played a pivotal role in assisting the finance team through the development of the underground mining operations at Tomingley, demerger of the now ASXlisted Australian Strategic Minerals Limited, multiple capital raisings and leading the Company’s management and statutory reporting obligations.
