NEW DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT – ILANA ATLAS AO

Scentre Group (ASX: SCG / ASX: CDP) today announced the appointment of Ilana Atlas to the Board, effective 28 May 2021.

Scentre Group’s Chairman, Brian Schwartz AM said: “As mentioned at our recent AGM, we were hopeful of making a new appointment to the Board in the first half of the year. We are delighted to welcome Ilana to the Board.

“As part of its ongoing renewal and succession planning, the Board is committed to ensuring a strong membership and mix of skills, knowledge, experience and diversity. Ilana has an accomplished non-executive and executive career and brings a breadth and depth of skills and experience to the Board. She also has a strong commitment to the community, in particular, the arts and education”.

Ms Atlas will be an independent non-executive Director.

Ilana has extensive financial services and legal experience and has held executive and nonexecutive roles across many sectors. Ilana is currently a non-executive Director of Origin Energy Limited and Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited. She is also a Director of the Paul Ramsay Foundation, Chair of Jawun and a Panel Member of Adara Partners.

Ilana was previously Chair of Coca-Cola Amatil, and a Director of Treasury Corporation of New South Wales, Westfield Group and Suncorp. She was also Group Executive People and Group Secretary and General Counsel at Westpac Banking Corporation and a partner at Mallesons Stephen Jacques (now called King & Wood Mallesons), where she also held several management roles.
