Notification of Transactions of Director and Person Discharging Managerial Responsibilities

Card Factory announces that it has been notified by Kristian Lee, Chief Financial Officer, that he has cancelled his participation in the Card Factory plc SAYE Scheme ("SAYE Scheme") in respect of awards granted in July 2019. 

The SAYE Scheme is a UK tax qualified scheme whereby UK employees can choose to make monthly savings over a 3 year period, subject to a cap of £250 per month for each annual award and a cap of £500 per month over multiple annual schemes. For each award, after 3 years, savings can be used to purchase Card Factory plc shares, under an option granted prior to the relevant 3 year period, at a 20% discount to the share value immediately prior to applications for that scheme being invited.  

On 6 July 2021, Kristian Lee cancelled participation in the SAYE Scheme in respect of an award made in July 2019, pursuant to which he was granted an option to acquire up to 5,844 ordinary shares in the capital of Card Factory plc on or after 1 August 2022, at a price of £1.54 per share.

The Company has invited applications for participation in the SAYE Scheme and will announce details of any option that may be granted, in respect of any Directors and Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities.

This notification is made in accordance with Article 19 of the Market Abuse Regulation and the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
