Kee Wong joins carsales.com Ltd Board of Directors

carsales.com Limited (ASX: CAR) today announced that Kee Wong has been appointed to its Board of Directors as a Non-executive Director effective 9 July 2018.

carsales’ Chair, Richard Collins, advised that Mr Wong’s appointment comes after an extensive search and consideration of a number of highly qualified candidates.

“Kee has the combination of technology, product, business and board experience we were looking for to complement and strengthen our Board into the future,” said Mr Collins. “The Board is delighted to welcome Kee and benefit from his considerable knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit.”

Mr Wong is an entrepreneur with a background and qualifications in engineering, information technology and business. Mr Wong commenced his professional career as an engineer before moving to IT and management consulting firms. In 1994 Mr Wong joined IBM as a senior executive running part of its e- business group in the Asia Pacific region, including Australia and New Zealand. In 1999, Mr Wong founded his first business, e-Centric Innovations, an IT/Management consulting firm that is still operating successfully in Australia, Malaysia and Singapore, serving large multinational enterprises and governments.

Mr Wong is the Immediate Past Chair of the Board of the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA), Deputy Chair of Asialink and a member of the Board of Directors for the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), Committee for Melbourne and the Foundation Board of Monash University’s Faculty of Engineering & IT.

Mr Wong brings the number of carsales directors to seven.
