Mr Jeffrey Browne joins carsales.com Ltd Board of Directors

carsales.com Limited (ASX: CRZ) today announced an appointment to its Board of Directors. Jeffrey Browne will join the carsales.com Ltd Board as a Non-executive Director effective Dec 16, 2013.

Mr Browne brings the number of carsales Directors to six.

carsales.com Ltd’s Chairman, Wal Pisciotta, stated Mr Browne’s appointment comes after extensive consideration of a number of highly qualified candidates. Mr Browne was previously a member of the carsales.com Board from December 2007 to April 2011.

“carsales.com is delighted to announce the appointment of an appropriate and highly desirable Non-executive Director,” Mr Pisciotta said.

“Jeffrey’s extensive automotive experience including his current role as Chairman of Holden Special Vehicles, as well as his media, online, entertainment, commercial and legal expertise is unique and provides a background that is an ideal fit with carsales.com,” he said.

Mr Browne said he was pleased to again join the carsales.com Board.

“carsales.com is a diverse and vibrant business. I’m very pleased to have an opportunity to again work with the carsales Board and its executive team,” Mr Browne stated.

Mr Browne stepped down from the carsales.com Board in 2011 to focus on his commitments as the Managing Director of Channel Nine.

“With Jeffrey’s departure from an executive role at Channel Nine, we’ve been talking with him about re-joining the carsales.com Board for some time,” Mr Pisciotta said.
