CAPRICORN APPOINTS EXPERIENCED PROJECT MANAGER FOR KARLAWINDA GOLD PROJECT
18[th] February 2016: Capricorn Metals Ltd (ASX: CMM) is pleased to announce the appointment of experienced mining executive Mr Neville Bergin as Project Study Manager to oversee the development of the Bibra gold deposit, part of its 100%-owned Karlawinda Gold Project in Western Australia.
Bibra is the most advanced prospect at Karlawinda, located 65km from Newman in Western Australia, where a current Inferred Resource of 650,000 ounces of gold was established in 2013 by Independence Group Ltd (ASX: IGO).
Capricorn will commence its resource in-fill and extensional drilling program at Bibra on 1 March as the foundation for an upgraded resource and Scoping Study targeted for mid2016.
Mr Bergin, now who runs his own mining consultancy, Neville Bergin & Associates, is a mining engineer with extensive experience in feasibility studies, risk analysis, project approvals and the operation of open pit and underground mines throughout Australia, including:

Responsibility for the establishment and construction of the Waihi Gold open pit, New Zealand;

Rosebery Deeps Feasibility Study and implementation;

Resident Manager at the Fosterville Gold Mine, Victoria;

Resident manager then GM Operations at Jubilee Mines NL, overseeing the development and operation of open pit and underground nickel operations. As GM Operations, he oversaw the successful development of the Prospero mine within 12 months of its discovery;

Head of Operations, Australia for Gold Fields (St Ives and Agnew Gold operations);

Feasibility Study Manager for Minemakers Ltd’s Wonarah Phosphate Project, NT; and
-
Previously non-executive director of Northern Star Resources Ltd and BCD Resources Ltd.
Mr Bergin is a Member of the AusIMM and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
