CAIRN ENERGY PLC ("Cairn" or "the Company")

Share Purchases by PDMRs

Cairn announces that on 13 March 2019, Miles Warner, General Manager, Senegal, purchased 15,000 Ordinary Shares of 231/169 pence each in the Company at a price of £1.620697 per share.

The Company also announces that Eric Hathon, Director of Exploration, has today purchased 10,000 Ordinary Shares of 231/169 pence each in the Company at a price of £1.754 per share.

Following the above purchases, Mr Warner's and Mr Hathon's beneficial interests in the Ordinary Shares of the Company are as follows:-
