Share Purchase by Director of Exploration

Cairn announces that on 11 September 2018, Eric Hathon, the Company's Director of Exploration, purchased 15,000 Ordinary Shares of 231/169 pence each in the Company at a price of £2.217435 per share.

Following this purchase, Mr Hathon's beneficial interest in the Ordinary Shares of the Company is as follows:-
