Interests of PDMR in the Company's Shares

Cairn announces that on 22 March 2013, Richard Heaton, Exploration Director and Head of New Ventures purchased a total of 120,000 Ordinary Shares of 231/169 each in the Company at a price of £2.8019 per share. Mr Heaton purchased 60,000 shares and his spouse Janet Barbara Heaton purchased 60,000 shares.

Following this announcement, the above mentioned PDMR's beneficial interests in the Ordinary Shares of the Company are as follows:-
