SALE OF JARMAN FIELDS HEMEL HEMPSTEAD

Capital & Regional plc ('C&R') today announces the conditional exchange of contracts for the sale of Jarman Fields, Hemel Hempstead to Tesco Pension Trust for a price of £8.5 million, ahead of the valuation as at 30 June 2013.

Hemel Hempstead had no material impact on C&R's profit for the six months ended 30 June 2013.

The sale proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes and further re-investment in C&R's core UK Shopping Centre business.

Hugh Scott-Barrett, Chief Executive commented:

"The disposal of Hemel Hempstead is the culmination of excellent asset management work to create an attractive leisure asset and it will enable the Group to recycle cash into its core UK Shopping Centre business."
