providers in Austria following its takeover of a+d
Jettingen-Scheppach, Germany, 17 October 2007 - CANCOM IT Systeme AG, a
leading provider of IT infrastructure and professional services, has
acquired 100 percent of the shares in a+d Computersysteme und Bauteile
Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH in Vienna-Perchtelsdorf, Austria.
Integrated systems provider a+d Computersysteme und Bauteile
Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH concentrates on the marketing of mobile IT
solutions and is based at eight locations throughout Austria. One of a+d’s
most distinctive products is its combined case, notebook and printer system
which it develops and produces to meet individual customer specifications
and is very widely used by the sales representatives of leading Austrian
insurance companies. In addition, ongoing support is provided to most of
a+d’s key account customers by means of service and maintenance contracts.
Turnover at a+d was just below EUR 21 million for the financial year ending
30 September 2007. The company employed a workforce of 71. Average EBIT for
the last three financial years stands at EUR 0.6 million.
The deal is made up of a fixed component of EUR 2.25 million and a variable
component based on the company’s performance up to the end of 2010. Both
former owners of the company, Peter Abrahamczik and Franz Jakits, will
remain on the company’s management board.
The purchase of a+d puts CANCOM IT Systeme AG in the list of top-ranking
integrated systems providers in Austria and will allow it to push ahead
with its plans for strategic expansion in the country’s promising IT
market. The takeover is expected to generate synergies that CANCOM can
exploit to offer its customers an even more comprehensive range of
solutions.
