PIRONET NDH showing a loss

Cologne, Germany, 19 March 2010 - In 2009, the provider of solutions
dealing with digital content and data entered the red for the first time in
seven years. This was due to the high costs accrued compared with proceeds
made, as well as the strong, exceptional influence of extraordinary
depreciation on its products, receivables and customer contracts.
Provisional figures suggest that turnover during this reporting period
improved by a good 1% to EUR 60.4 million. The EBIT underwent a swing of
EUR 8.5 million. Sharp rises in marketing and sales costs, and more than
double the research and development costs played a major role in the EBIT
dropping from EUR 2.9 million to EUR -5.6 million.

Financial results also showed a deficit. A key part in this was played by
the complete write-off of the indatex investment, which made up EUR 3.0
million. The overall income from investment was EUR -2.2 million, compared
with interest income of EUR 0.2 million. On balance the financial results
were thus EUR -2.0 million, making a pre-tax result of EUR -7.6 million,
against EUR 3.5 million the year before.

For the 2010 financial year, PIRONET NDH management is confident the
company will again grow more strongly and break even. It also aims to
increase liquid funds, which stood at around EUR 12.0 million as of 31
December 2009, corresponding to net liquidity, as PIRONET NDH continues to
work without any bank liabilities.

The company's full annual financial report for 2009 is to be published on
23 April 2010.
