CANCOM IT Systeme AG exceeds sales revenue and profit forecasts for 2006

Jettingen-Scheppach, Germany, 9 January 2007

According to preliminary reports, the CANCOM Group generated consolidated
sales revenues of approximately € 266 million in the financial year 2006,
compared with € 222.2 million in the financial year 2005 (an increase of
19.7 percent). The company originally forecast consolidated sales revenues
in the range of € 230 million to € 250 million.

Definite figures for profit are not yet available. However, in view of the
positive trend in sales revenues during the financial year 2006, it is
expected that the company’s original consolidated EBIT forecast of € 2
million to € 4 million could also be exceeded.

This means the CANCOM Group will, in all probability, be able to report its
best year in the history of the company in terms of sales revenues and
EBIT.

The main reason for the positive business development is the Group’s
successful expansion of its service activities, along with a significant
upturn in its trading business, particularly in the fourth quarter of 2006.
This is reflected in the consolidated sales revenues for the fourth
quarter, which mark a new record at € 86.3 million – an increase of about
27 percent on the figure for the previous year.

Against the background of a continued upward trend in the economy, the
Executive Board expects the financial year 2007 to bring further growth in
sales revenues, with an even faster increase in profits.
